About Fellowship

Fellowship is an accolade held by some of the most committed teachers and leaders who have shown a significant and sustained contribution to the teaching profession. It is a formal mark of their achievements, skills and expertise as a teaching professional.

As a Fellow, you’ll have a platform to amplify your influence, collaborate with other committed teachers and school leaders and have opportunities to contribute to and influence educational policy, ensuring that your expertise continues to elevate the profession. Fellows value critical engagement with research and support our wider membership in thinking about the relevance of research for their practice. Your insights are vital to shape the future of education and empower the profession, and as such fellows help to guide the Chartered College of Teaching’s approach. Becoming a Fellow of the Chartered College is a way of celebrating your commitment, expertise and achievements over time and committing to support the wider teaching profession.

To become a Fellow, you will need to be nominated by a peer and then fill in an application, which will be reviewed. Successful applicants will then be invited to join the Fellowship.

It's given me a lot more confidence... It gives you an opportunity to engage with like minded people, and enables you to step back from the kind of day-to-day madness of the job and think a little bit more strategically and holistically about the profession.
