Be recognised with Institutional Member Status

Institutional Member Status is an institution-level designation, which recognises and celebrates the growing number of schools, trusts and organisations that commit to professional learning and evidence-informed practice through the Chartered College of Teaching for all or the majority of their staff.

Institutional Members receive a specially designed logo to recognise their status and commitment to:

Empowering a knowledgeable and respected profession through membership and accreditation
Appointing one or more Chartered College of Teaching Research Champion(s)
Supporting group membership for at least 75% of teaching staff, or over 100 staff (whichever is lower)

I am delighted that the Trust have been awarded Institutional Member Status, which recognises the strength of the partnership between the Chartered College of Teaching and Brooke Weston Trust. The Chartered College of Teaching has helped us to weave engagement with education research into day-to-day school life and create a culture where teachers use research to help them reflect on their teaching. Institutional Member Status will help us to continue to develop this culture.

Who can apply?

All organisations that meet the eligibility criteria above are welcome to apply for Institutional Member Status – including group members who began membership before the introduction of Institutional Member Status in September 2023.

What kinds of organisations are Institutional Members?

We are pleased to have schools from a range of phases (including primary, secondary, special, and hospital schools), as well as multi-academy trusts. International or UK-based schools and groups are equally welcome to apply!
